Cathie Wood is buying a Special Purpose acquisition company on daily basis…. Her daily buying activity intrigued me to research what is so special about the company that she is buying on daily basis. Spacs have lost their momentum and most of the investors got burnt but I think this Spac is targeting a unique and neglected business segment that fulfills the definition of disruptive innovation… Cathie Wood is an innovation junkie and this company targeting disruptive innovation is the only reason I can find she is buying this stock…
The SPAC I am referring is none other than the Jaws Spitfire Acquisition Corporation currently trading on NYSE with a ticker symbol of SPFR but once the merger transaction will be completed in second half of this year, the combined company will operate as VELO 3D, and will stay on the New York Stock Exchange with the new ticker symbol “VLD.”
The company has also ranked among the top 10 most innovative manufacturing companies of 2021.
