Malaysia PM Ismail Sabri under quarantine after contact with COVID case, misses Cabinet swearing-in

Malaysia's new prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has missed his own Cabinet's swearing-in ceremony. He is in quarantine after coming into contact with a COVID-19 patient, but he will still be addressing the nation from home to mark Malaysia's Independence Day on Aug 31. The 64th anniversary celebration comes as the country witnessed another change in prime minister -- the third time since the 2018 general election. The Cabinet ministers who were sworn in are essentially the same as the previous administration under former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
