MY BRITISH WIFE MAKES PALAK PARATHA | Dhaba Style Palak Paratha Recipe *YUMMY*

Hello and Sat Shri Akal Family!

We are back at it again with Bhabhi's Dhaba! We honestly love doing these cooking vlogs and always have so much fun making these yummy recipes for you all and also for ourselves! For this recipe we have made a super plain/non spicy version so our toddler could eat it, but please do add in some chillis/extra spices if you enjoy a bit of extra flavour as it definitely does taste better this way! We hope you enjoy this video, and do let us know if there are any other recipes you'd like to see from us!

THE RECIPE:
Ingredients:
Spinach bunch (around 2 cups of spinach)
1-2x green chillis (optional)
Salt
Cumin seeds
Ginger paste
Oil (whichever you prefer, we use olive oil)
Atta flour (Roti flour)

Directions:
Firstly, wash the spinach thoroughly to ensure they are clean and then set aside to let dry. You will be wanting the spinach to be dry when making this recipe so let fully dry. Once it is, chop of the stems of the spinach and cut it into small pieces (as shown in video) and set aside.

Next, get 2 cups of wheat flour (atta flour), and add to it the spinach, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste, 1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1/2-1 teaspoon of salt, and add in 1-2 finely chopped green chillis if you like some spice in it also (we left out this step as our toddler was going to eat this also), and around 1-2 teaspoons of oil, and mix this all around well with your hands to ensure well mixed. After this, slowly add in water in small amounts and knead with your hands to ensure the mixture comes to a semi hard dough (see video for how it should look), and once this is done, cover and set aside for around 20 minutes to set.

Once this is done, cover your hands with a little oil and knead the dough some more to ensure it is smooth. Next, heat a frypan with a little oil in the bottom and take a small amount of mixture and roll into a ball, roll it out to be a medium size, and pinch it by it's edges to fold it back into a ball, and roll out again (making sure to dust it in some extra flour along the way to make sure it doesn't stick). Once this is done, put it in the frying pan, and fry until golden on both sides, brushing on some oil on their side when flipping it to ensure it doesn't dry out. Repeat these steps until they are all cooked and serve with whatever you would like to dip them in (we love plain yogurt/spiced yogurt or tomato sauce!)
