Some people have wondered why a legally blind 40 something would start a YouTube channel. The first part of the answer to that question is, “Why not,” but the real reason is because I had information I wanted to share and this was the easiest way to share it most widely.
Once I got into it I realized that shooting and editing videos is quite easy to do on my phone and because my pre-sight loss career was in broadcasting, shooting, editing, and uploading these videos has given me an opportunity to have a little part of that life back again.
A friend once said to me, “You can take the boy out of broadcasting, but you can’t take broadcasting out of the boy,” and I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.
