The Question Asked:
"Louisiana has mask mandate for Kindergarten-12th grade students. In the Governor’s mandate, it states all children 5 and older will have to wear a mask to school EXCEPT those with medical exemptions. However, some districts are not approving ANY medical exemptions even for children with special needs with doctor’s letter stated he/she is exempt. The districts are telling parents they are not accepting any exemptions and students unable to wear a mask must do virtual learning which for some of these children with special needs is definitely not ideal.
Is there anything parents can do to get their child’s exempting approved and able to attend in-person?"
