Posh TV Wine Buff Turns Air Blue As Champers Spills

This is the moment a posh wine buff turns the air blue as he records a TV segment after failing to open a bottle of champers properly and letting slip a crisp "f*cking hell" as the frothy bubbly spills everywhere.

The amusing scene was recorded as sommelier Linng Cardozo was explaining how to properly open a bottle of sparkling wine during his segment on the TV programme ‘Cambiando el Aire’ (Changing the Air) broadcast by TNU in Uruguay, as dignified music plays in the background.

In the video, the wine expert explains that the bottle he is demonstrating how to open costs 450 UYU (10 GBP).

He then says: “Always remember that when opening a sparkling wine and taking off the wire cage, you should always keep your thumb on top of it. Otherwise, the cork could shoot out and then we make a mess.”

He then begins twisting the cork out bit by bit, letting some of the gas out. However, the wine then suddenly fizzes up and sprays all over Cardozo as he takes the cork out and he says: “F*cking hell.”

The video has been seen over 142,000 times at the time of writing and Cardozo has now explained: “I had a problem while opening the bottle when I recorded the segment.

"This segment is not going to be broadcast and I am recording a new one, but I wanted to comment on what the mistake was."

He added: “The bottle should not be shaken. I did not shake it, but the problem was transferring it from my house to the studio, which caused movement. Secondly, tilting the bottle and taking off the metal cage and putting my thumb on top. All of this was done right, but what did I do badly?

“Firstly, I did not think about the bottle shaking from my house to the studio and secondly I did not turn the bottle well. And I did not let the carbon dioxide out slowly. I rushed it with the cork and caused what you saw.”

He joked that he would release a t-shirt with him saying “f*cking hell” on it in order to raise money for a trip to the Champagne region in France.

'smartabeatriz' said: "Ggreat! So delicate in his hands popping the cork... and boom, it was like a Formula 1 celebration."

'maxibaldoni' added: "The champagne was probably hot."

While 'DanielVerdun5' said: "Excellent explanation! The bottle was shaken by someone on purpose."
