'Arunachal's Tawang region & Bhutan part of larger Himalayan culture' OP Jindal University Professor

While speaking at a seminar titled 'Tawang's linkages with Bhutan' Wednesday, OP Jindal Global University Professor Sonia Shukla said that Tawang region's shared ethnicity and practices with Tibet are well-known, but it's linkages with Bhutan has been largely ignored in historical studies. She further said that through the centuries Tawang had religious, commercial and religious relations with Bhutan, which has been documented in folklore and thus, both regions together are a part of larger Himalayan culture.
