Deputy on life support, will donate organs after being beaten by suspect

A Maricopa County Sheriff's deputy remains on life support but will not survive after being assaulted while taking a suspect with felony warrants into custody, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputy Juan Ruiz has not regained consciousness and his family plans on donating his organs, Sheriff Paul Penzone said.
