Festivals are all about celebration. Festivals bring joy. This made me think why not make festivals a means for spreading Joy? Until now, Festivals for me is to celebrate with my family and friends but starting this Dussehra, me, my team & my family have decided to celebrate festivals with meaning, with a cause, with an aim to bring happiness to the lives of the needy.
This Dussehra, as we celebrate Maa Durga and womanhood, we wanted to help women in need. We named our Dussehra Campaign “Shakthi Swaroopini”.
In this video (PART 1), we are helping Women from the TV and Film Industries. We identified 10 such women who needed immediate help. They have various issues varying from loss of work due to COVID to Oldage, death of husband, etc.,
Mr. Eswar Dommaraju of New York, who debuted as a hero with the movie ‘4 letters’, came forward to help these women. He has helped them by providing groceries for One year. We have issued them Super Market cards where they can show the card and get the groceries they need for that particular month. Along with it, an insurance cover of 2 Lakh rupees has been provided to each one of them.
