N.S. to offer COVID-19 and flu shots to long-term care residents – October 19, 2021

In Halifax, Tim Houston, the premier of Nova Scotia, and Dr. Robert Strang, the province's chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the provincial response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They are joined by Alyson Lamb, executive director Western Zone, Nova Scotia Health. Starting next week, the province will distribute COVID-19 booster doses and flu shots to long-term care residents. Eligible residents who are immunocompromised are now able to book their third COVID-19 dose. The province has declared a minor outbreak at the Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. Three patients have tested positive for COVID-19.
