Meanwhile, in the UK a proposed bill has various clauses that give powers to the police to restrict public protests. India passed the Essential Defence Services Act, 2021 that allows the central government to prohibit strikes, lock-outs, and lay-offs in units engaged in essential defence services. (Audio in Hindi)
