SUTRA for modelling COVID-19 in India and elsewhere - Talk by Prof. M. Vidyasagar, FRS, SERB - National Science Chair and Distinguished Professor.
Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic is characterized by the presence of a large number of "asymptomatic" patients who do not display any symptoms, but are nevertheless capable of infecting others. Thus any model of the spread of the disease must take this into account. In this talk, Prof. M. Vidyasagar discusses the SUTRA model which has been very successful in predicting the course of the pandemic, in India and about 20+ countries around the world.
