To Make This 3 Hour Quilt You Will Need:
10 Fat Quarters (2 of which will be white for negative space). Trim all FQs the same then cut in half (you should have 20 pcs that are 18" x 10 /approximately)
1 1/2 yards for sashing (cut 24 -2.5" x 18" & 8 -2.50"x 65")
1 Queen size plush quilt from dollar store❤️
Some cotton yarn pieces.
Do all your prep work ahead of time (i.e. trim FQs & cut all pieces needed)
------------------First Step
1 HOUR/20 MINUTES: Connect horizontal rows 1st/6- 2.5"x18" connect between & on ends of rows to 5- 10"x18" (you should have 4 horizontal rows all connected & PRESSED).
------------------Second Step
1 HOUR: Connect 5- 2.5"x65" sash pieces between & top & bottom. Press ALL seams. (Your quilt top is finished).
------------------Third Step
10 MINUTES: Lay quilt top (right side up). Lay plush/minky right side down on top of quilt top.(DO NOT TRIM your plush yet). Leave about 4" of minky extra on ALL sides. Pin only around all edges.*plush spreads evenly when layed in this manner.
------------------Fourth Step
20 MINUTES: Sew 1/4" all around/LEAVE 5" or so to turn your quilt right side out. Then turn right side out & sew top stitch all around making sure to close opening where you turned your work.
------------------Fifth and Final Step
10 ish MINUTES or more: Tie off your quilt. (I timed myself @ 3 ties per 1 minute). This step depends on how many ties you would like.
