Sky News host Paul Murray says he thinks the Prime Minister “hit it out of the park” with the way he responded to President Emmanuel Macron’s accusations of lying over the termination of the $90 billion French submarine deal.
On Sunday French President Emmanuel Macron was asked by Australian journalists whether Scott Morrison had lied to him when cancelling the Naval Group’s submarines contract.
“I don’t think, I know,” Mr Macron said.
“I think the PM hit it out of the park tonight with the way he pushed back saying have a go at me but don’t have a go at the country,” Mr Murray said.
He discussed the issue with Liberal Senator Jim Molan.
