I know you as a parent you save all your precious life’s earnings only for the college education of your child after Class 12.
The thing is today there are so many courses available that you are not even aware of.
You always want the best for your children however many a times you lack the appropriate knowledge and guide them based on only what you know and what you hear from your friends and relatives.
A lot of colleges today are not up to the standards they are only bothered about the fees and money. (Certainly, not all colleges come in this category however a majority do)
Sadly a lot of teachers are underpaid today thus are not able to perform to their fullest potential to educate and expand the horizons of your children.
Even our parents were insecure when we started our journey.
Definitely, they are proud today but it was not the case earlier.
Initially, since they don’t understand what we were doing, results were not coming, we were putting in a lot of effort. They used to scold us, get frustrated, get influenced by others.
Yet overall, our parents have been very supportive.
They gave us the time to prove ourselves that is the reason we excelled.
Thus as a student, if you expect 100% support, it is not going to happen.
Parents - Please understand you’ll have to support your children.
Just by listening to some relatives, you can’t get them admitted to a college.
What if they don’t get jobs after 3 or 4 years of studying, who is going to take the responsibility?
Give your children the liberty to learn online and explore the current trends.
Today. It is not mandatory to do graduation or post-graduation.
They can do some courses which are in the trend today and going to be the future.
Once the skills are developed, they learn the art of selling, the results will keep coming.
In the future, companies will recruit people based on their skills & talent and not the degrees.
Further, at times we are obligated to take education loans for the sake of repaying them, children are forced to undertake the jobs they don’t like or even deserve.
Children prefer staying away from home in a very minimum comfort because they want to get away from the home environment where they are constantly compared and forced to be a part of the gossips.
Children love you and want to do everything they can to give you a comfortable life. All they need is a constructive environment around.
Make them feel free and comfortable, if you observe them being lonely, go and talk to them.
Never keep scolding them for tiny little things, doing this will distant you from them.
They’ll stop approaching you in the future. Thus make them feel heard and protected.
And never do any sort of partiality between a daughter and a son. I have observed it, you know the reality deep within.
Coming to the students, you need to prove yourself to your parents, show them how passionate you are.
When your parents have never seen your dedication, how will they support you?
Sit with them, tell them to grant you a certain time period to work and prove yourself.
Share your daily progress with them, they should be aware of what you are doing.
No one on this planet can support and love you more than your parents. They’ll support you gradually once you gain more trust.
Work with honesty, dedication, don’t hang out with the wrong people and keep marching.
If you ever need money, take it from your parents only, don’t take it from the market. Everyone out there is waiting to take undue advantage.
Take it from your parents, earn and return it back to them.
