Thousands of protesters gather in Melbourne

Thousands of protesters have gathered on the streets of Melbourne in protest of Victoria's pandemic bill and vaccine mandates.

Demonstrators gathered outside Parliament House around lunchtime and headed towards Melbourne West Police Station.

Multiple signs read 'kill the bill' and 'sack Dan Andrews'.

Police officers were dispersed across the city, attempting to control the traffic.

Protesters were also seen halting oncoming cars.
