A couple of empty, ruler edged waves rolled through Keramas as the tide started to fill. But it didn't take long for the crowd to descend on the lineup, with around a dozen surfers in the water just minutes after the first wave of this video.
There were plenty of fun waves to keep everyone busy, and the size picked up during the morning as the tide pushed.
