Dozens of buildings across the city of Ipoh were damaged by a tornado. As a result of a strong storm wind, several trees fell. Roofs ripped off houses in Taman Tasik Damai and Kampung Rawa. Three cars were damaged by a fallen trees. Flying debris smashed windows and storefronts.

However, no injuries were reported, according to eyewitnesses. Tornadoes are very rare in this area. Therefore, the locals were very surprised by the appearance of such a strong natural phenomenon.
