The UK Skilled Worker visa is for persons who have an invitation to work in the UK in a qualifiable role from a sponsor that is approved.
Who Qualifies as a Dependant of a Skilled Worker?
One should either be a child or a dependant partner of the person who is applying at the same time or has already been awarded a Skilled Worker visa.
Conditions For A Dependant Partner:
Dependant partners should be over the age of 18 at the time of applying. The Skilled Worker and their partner must be:
โข Married;
โข In a civil partnership or;
โข Should have been living together for a minimum of two years prior to applying. Their time together should usually have been completed immediately before the date of the application, but the Home Office guidance points out that there may be circumstances where this is not the case, for example in circumstances where the couple lives separately due to work commitments or caring responsibilities.
