1 John 2:15-16.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world
• We are advised not to love the world because that will pull us away from God. The flesh and the Spirit are in a constant battle within us from salvation, through sanctification and up to our final glorification. We are not told to become hermits and to stay away from everything in the world, but instead, to control our worldly involvements. Moderation is the key here. Since we are not in our glorified bodies yet, and since we still live in our fallen world, we know that we will inevitably interact with it. The question is, "do we let the world take over our walk?" We don't adopt or condone, but we interact and respond, otherwise, how would others learn about Yeshua and how to come to Him?
